This is a WoW Shaman Guide that will go over a basic Shaman leveling build as well as what kind of spell rotations you’ll need to be using to get from level 1-85.

When it comes to a Shaman leveling spec, your best bet for quick leveling is to go the Elemental Shaman route (57/14/0):

Now as far as the spell rotation you’re going to be leveing with here’s what it comes down to:

Level 1-40

Earth/Flame/Wind/Frost Shock(pick one) > Lightning Bolt > Melee the enemy during spell downtime > Healing Wave if necessary > Repeat until enemy is dead

Level 41-80

Searing Totem > Lightning > Lightning > Earth/Flame/Wind/Frost Shock(pick one) > Melee the enemy during spell downtime > Lesser Healing Wave if needed > Repeat from lightning until enemy is dead

Now if you are fighting multiple enemies at a time, you’re going to want to throw in an area of effect spell like Chain Lightning or Thunderstorm.

Now if after putting this to work you’re finding your Shaman levelling speed isn’t all that great, you might want to look into the Zygor Leveling Guide. I’ve used this to get my Shaman, as well as other characters, to level 80 in 7-9 days time.

This guide is basically an add-on that runs in World of Warcraft and places a green arrow under your Shaman. The arrow constantly points you in the direction of what you need to be doing next, be it pick up a quest, kill some enemies, collect some items, or cash in a series of quests…all you do is follow it and you’re leveling up as fast as possible, it’s pretty cool.
You also have a window which shows in writing the series of events you need to complete in order, so you may see:

Kill 12 Blistering Rot for “The Pools of Aggonar Quest” at 12,33
Kill 8 Terrorfiend for “The Heart of Darkness Quest” at 34,16
Turn in The Heart of Darkness Quest to Warp Scryer Kryv
